Our Works
It is planned to reimplement “81 Forests in 81 Provinces Project”, implemented previously between 2008-2017 through the collaboration among Türkiye İş Bankası, General Directorate of Forestry and TEMA Foundation, between 2023-2028.
With the project, it is aimed to raise awareness about the importance of afforestation efforts and the protection of forest assets in combating erosion in society, especially among our children, to contribute to afforestation activities carried out throughout the country, to fulfill responsibilities towards nature within the scope of corporate social responsibility and to conduct an exemplary action in this regard.
With the project launched to protect nature by increasing the forest areas in Türkiye and to raise awareness of environment in society, it is planned to plant 2 million 200 thousand saplings in 81 provinces in a period of 5 years. Maintenance work will be carried out for 3 years following the planting of saplings.
A comprehensive campaign will be carried out to encourage the public to adopt a total of 2,200,000 saplings within the scope of the 81 Forests in 81 Provinces project. In this context, a dedicated website has been created to make the sapling adoption process easier and more accessible in the digital environment. This platform aims to increase interest in the project while also strengthening awareness of the environment in the society. As part of the project, 15 provinces Adana, Adıyaman, Balıkesir, Bayburt, Bingöl, Bitlis, Bursa, Erzincan, Giresun, Isparta, Kocaeli, Konya, Kırklareli, Manisa, and Samsun were identified to plant 400,000 saplings in 2024. Seedling planting has been completed in 13 of the 15 provinces. In the first year of project implementation, field work was monitored and field inspections were conducted. Seedling planting ceremonies, attended by local primary and secondary school students, were held in Samsun, Erzincan, Konya, Balıkesir, and Manisa.
