TEMA, The Turkish Foundation for Combating Soil Erosion, for Reforestation and the Protection of Natural Habitats

The Story of Our Logo

In 1994, a competition was launched for the design of the TEMA Foundation logo. The logo designed by graphic artist Sadık Karamustafa was the most popular among the entries. The letter "E" in the logo represents erosion in both shape and color. In order to emphasize that the fight against erosion can only be possible by increasing the amount of greenery, the word "TEMA" is underlined in green. In 1997, after the "Green Leaf for Every Collar Campaign" organized for the 5th anniversary of the Foundation's foundation, a leaf was added to the logo and the logo took its current form. The TEMA Foundation logo is under protection and its use is subject to various rules and permissions.

TEMA Foundation's name and logo have been registered by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office as a well-known trademark, which is a special status. Based on this registration, any use of the TEMA Foundation name and logo is subject to permission. In particular, due to the fact that our Foundation is a public benefit organization, our legal rights will have to be exercised in case of unauthorized use of the name and logo. It is strongly announced to the public.
