Environmental and climate issues transcend national borders and require global action. For this reason, in addition to following the national agenda and legislation on environment and climate, we also follow the global agenda through international and regional networks, and we contribute to the global environmental agenda from Turkey's perspective through our roles in these networks and our contributions to international meetings we attend. We have memberships in networks such as EEB (European Environmental Bureau), CAN (European Climate Action Network), IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) DRYnet Network, etc. and accreditation to United Nations conventions. In addition to serving as a member of the Board of Directors of the European Environmental Bureau, which was established in 1974 and is the largest coalition of environmental organizations in Europe, with a total of 150 members from 30 European countries, TEMA Foundation follows international environmental policies by participating in the conferences of the parties called COP every year due to our accreditation to the United Nations Convention against Desertification (UNCCD).
In 2012, TEMA Foundation was awarded the Land for Life Award by the UNCCD for the first time. As TEMA Foundation, we follow the international agenda and standards with the above-mentioned activities, bring global knowledge to the national scale, and work for the implementation of global standards and targets in our country.
