Our International Studies

Climate crisis transcend national borders therefore it requires global level action. That is exactly the reason why TEMA Foundation is engaged in international and regional networks and following the global agenda as well as contributing to the global environmental agenda from the perspective from Türkiye's.

TEMA Foundation is a member of the European Environmental Bureau (EEB), Climate Action Network (CAN), International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), DRYnet Network, The Mediterranean Information Office for Environment, Culture and Sustainable Development (MIO-ECSDE), and accredited to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD). As TEMA Foundation, in addition to serving as a member of the Board of MIO-ECSDE and as a member of the Council of the EEB, established in 1974 and the largest coalition of environmental organisations in Europe, with a total of 180 members from 40 European countries, we follow international environmental policies by participating in the Conference of the Parties (COP) meetings of the United Nations Conventions to which TEMA Foundation is accredited.

TEMA Foundation was awarded the Land for Life Award, for the first time by UNCCD in 2012. As TEMA Foundation, we transmit global knowledge to a national scale by following the international agenda and standards with the work we mentioned above, and we strive for implementing global standards and objectives in Türkiye.
