Our Works
The project started in 2025 in collaboration with Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality and Gaziantep Provincial Directorate of National Education. It aims to enable children and young people studying at all levels in Gaziantep to observe and discover nature in their immediate surroundings. With the project, we aim to enable children and young people in Gaziantep to get to know nature starting from their immediate surroundings and rediscover it with a sense of curiosity, establish a connection with nature, make observations, develop awareness about biodiversity. The ultimate goal is to enhance their ecological literacy skills.
I Discover Nature Project has been designed for children and youth in pre-primary, primary, secondary and high school levels. It was developed with the aim of helping children and youth in Gaziantep to get to know nature starting from their immediate surroundings and rediscover it with a sense of curiosity, establish a connection with nature, make observations, develop awareness of biodiversity. The ultimate goal is to enhance their ecological literacy skills.
Educational materials such as presentation, observation wheel (bird, leaf and butterfly observation), observation brochure (soil, insect, tree, bird, butterfly and cloud observation) and poster were designed within the scope of the project. Educational activities are implemented in schools with the support of teachers.
As part of the Exploring Nature project, activities and materials were developed for preschool and primary school levels. As of the end of June 2025, approximately 100,000 children in 4,008 classrooms had been reached.
