Scope/Goals

The project was initiated with the aim of strengthening civil society participation in the management of 25 river basins, which are the lifeblood of our country. The main objective of the project is to increase the capacity of local communities and NGOs for water conservation, to strengthen their participation in RBMPs (River Basin Management Plans) and to improve the dialogue between public institutions and local stakeholders at local/national level.

Activities Realized in the Project

During the project, various workshops and seminars were organized and study visits were carried out in Turkey and abroad. Awareness raising activities were organized by opening stands in more than 50 locations across the country and 10 river basins were visited. Two experience sharing reports were prepared by the project partners "European Environmental Bureau" and "Friends of the Earth Croatia". Street interviews videos and two expert videos answering common questions on the subject were prepared and published. The social media campaign reached more than 3 million people.
