Mr. Oğuz Taner Okutan completed his undergraduate education at Hacettepe University, Department of Public Administration. He graduated from Koç University Executive MBA program with honors in 2010. He is currently continuing his Marketing PhD program at Yeditepe University.
Having nearly 25 years of experience in the banking and finance sector, Oğuz Taner Okutan started his career in 1999 at Türkiye İş Bankası. Throughout his banking career, he has undertaken responsibilities in areas such as individual banking, private banking, digital banking, payment systems, and data and technology-supported marketing, segment, product, channel, price and operations management and has taken an active role in large-scale transformation projects.
During the period he was acting as Retail Banking Marketing Department Manager at Türkiye İş Bankası, he contributed to the bank's growth strategies by gaining new customers and through segment management, marketing analytics and marketing technology projects. Previously acting as Retail Banking Product Department Manager and Payment Systems Operations Department Manager, Okutan managed teams of different sizes and implemented important projects in the fields of digitalization and process efficiency.
Additionally, Okutan served as a Board Member in companies such as Anadolu Hayat Emeklilik, İş Portföy Yönetimi, Milli Reasürans and İşMer.
Since 2024, he has been providing consultancy services to organizations operating in the finance sector with his own company, FS Consulting. With his EL Academy, he supports the companies and entrepreneurs in many different sectors with experiential learning-centered training programs.
